The mechanical fitter Alfons Westermann develops the first radial sweeper. He presents the motorized RB 800 at the Teuto-Schau and shortly thereafter at the regional "Tier-und-Technik-Messe" trade fair in Frankfurt.

A workshop is set up in the "Alte Molkerei" (Old Dairy) in Lengerich, and the first employee is hired.
